I don't know what it is, but I have looked at college so differently than I did in high school. I honestly believe it is because of being at BYUI, the spirit is here, and it has contributed so much to my education.
Everyday I pray to Heavenly Father asking him to help do what needs to be done, I probably have said this every night when I have prayed to him. This week I was very busy, lots of school work, and lots of stress. But as I was finishing up my work the other night, I realized that Heavenly Father answered my prayer, he blessed me that I would get my work done. It is something so small that I had asked hime everyday for as long as I have remembered, sometimes it felt like something that was a prayer filler and didn't mean much.
But now it means so much, I have learned a lot on how to utilize my time and learn how to get work done. I know that Heavenly Father answers prayers, even the small little things that don't seem like a big deal. Heavenly Father wants us to succeed. He wants to be happy. He cares about the small things in life. It is hard to think that some people do not know this, I have always had a testimony of my Heavenly Father's love for me and others.
One of my favorite scriptures is Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Whenever I read this I can't help but feel joy and peace. I love this scripture so much because it strengthens my testimony in my Heavenly Father. I love the guidance it gives to be strong and courageous. I always thought it meant to dream big and take risks, which it does, but it is more than that. It tells us no matter what our Heavenly Father is with us so there is no need for fear.
No matter what you are going through he is there, in school, at work, on your mission, and even when you are having your worst days, (that is when he is there the most).
With only a few weeks left of school, which are probably going to be the hardest, I know I can rely on my Heavenly Father, and that I will not be alone in my stressful days.
